dreamers production program

perform like a star. discover what you’re capable of.

For passionate young performers in Years 7–12 who are ready to work hard, take creative risks, and be part of something extraordinary. The Dreamers Production Program isn’t just another drama class. It’s a semester-long journey that challenges young artists to grow their skills, push beyond their comfort zones, and create theatre that feels truly magical. Working alongside industry professionals, students rehearse, train and perform in a full-scale production that combines three casts into one spectacular show.

what brings you to dreamers?

your child wants more

Dreamers is designed for young people who love performing and are willing to put in the work. This isn’t a casual after-school activity. It’s for students who want to challenge themselves, develop pre-professional skills and create theatre they’re genuinely proud of.

your child needs a teacher who inspires them.

Our students learn from experienced theatre practitioners who know what it takes to create exceptional performances.

your family values whimsy and wit

Every Dreamers production is crafted with imagination at its heart. From bold storytelling to creative staging, we create theatrical worlds that students and audiences remember long after the final bow.

high expectations. high support.

We believe young people are capable of extraordinary things when they’re challenged appropriately. We expect commitment, focus and effort. In return students gain skills, friendships and experiences that last a lifetime.

a true ensemble experience

Rather than creating stars and supporting cast members, we create ensembles. Students learn how to work together, support one another and contribute to something bigger than themselves.

what happens each week?

Every rehearsal begins with a focused warm-up before students jump straight into production work.

As performances approach, rehearsals become increasingly detailed and specialised, helping students polish every aspect of their performance. Through this combination of rehearsal and training, students develop skills that strengthen every aspect of their performance. For this production we’ll be diving into interpreting Shakespeare & immersive theatre techniques.

monday – musical theatre & harmonies

Students develop vocal technique, ensemble singing and musical theatre performance skills.

tuesday – comedy & improvisation focus

Quick thinking, comic timing, character work and breaking the forth wall.

thursday – acting & shakespeare focus

Students explore text analysis, character creation and advanced acting techniques.

common questions

my child is shy. is this program suitable?

Possibly—but many shy students benefit from starting in one of our regular classes before joining a production program. Dreamers is designed for students ready to perform, rehearse and commit to a production process.

my child has anxiety.

Many of our students experience anxiety and thrive within our supportive environment. We focus on skill development, preparation and creating a culture where students support one another. We cast cleverly to avoid putting pressure on individual performers. And lastly, if show day arrives and your kiddo doesn’t want to perform, we will never and I mean never force them to go on stage.

my child doesn’t have much experience.

Experience matters less than passion, commitment and willingness to learn. We cast a range of roles and look for students who are ready to work hard.

what if they don’t get a lead role?

Dreamers is built around ensemble storytelling. Every performer contributes meaningfully to the production and every role matters.

is the commitment significant?

Yes. Producing excellent theatre requires commitment. We encourage families to consider carefully whether they can prioritise rehearsals and performances before enrolling.

how much does it cost?

$450 per semester (total commitment $900 over two semesters)

give them a stage worth dreaming about

There are very few opportunities in life where young people get to work this hard, create something this magical and stand on stage knowing they earned every moment. If your child is passionate about performing, we’d love to meet them.
